Will versus trusts?

Post by Chaddy »

As we enter our twilight years, our demise comes into mind more often and whats going to happen to that humble wealth we have worked hard for all the years we have existed on this planet.
Should as some bar room lawyers advise put all we proudly own, even the kitchen sink into a trust where we still have control of everything whilst alive.
Others advice put your house, savings in a will naming more often than not your offspring.

Any suggestion please ( on this forum not in the bar ).....thanks in advance.

All I really know is that if you do a will make sure you stipulate that you want to follow the UK system.

Go get it done by a professional is my advice to everyone, people are talking about hundreds of thousands of pounds of assets,
yet will not go and pay a grand and have piece of mind.

A few years an ex-member was stating that a Solicitor called Marion J Carter came highly recommended to advise re Wills and Trusts.
I think her main office is either Limassol or Larnaca

Sorry, but that was all I know. Oh, and an important note that you shouldn't let the lawyer put themselves down as executor. I think they then get a percentage or something like that. Follow WHL's advice is the best bet though.
