Yes, definately. We replaced the beds in our daughters bedroom, as they were really uncomfortable; bought over 20 years ago. The ones in the spare room were worse than in our daughters room, so, they went to charity and our daughters beds were put in the spare room with mattress toppers. Just had visitors from the UK, who have stayed before, and both thought they were sleeping on new beds, whilst only one was, the other being on a mattress topper bought from Steptoes.

It’s purely an individual choice, what works for some may not for others.

In my case bought a new bed and could not get on with the mattress at all, decided to go for a mattress topper and to be honest did not work out.

We bought a top brand, and the thing moves around on the bed, so you are always stripping the bed to realign it, comfort wise for me made little difference at all, I am a side sleeper not sure if that makes any difference.

it’s a personal thing, new mattress for me was the answer. 8-)
I started off with nothing and have most of it left !
