I knew from the weather forecast (wetteronline.de) that the heatwave will end on Sunday, but was surprised that the night temperature dropped so much when I woke up 5 AM.
It was yesterday 33.2C same time in the morning, but 21.1C today. What a relief. It came with high humidity (95% RH) and no wind from Inland.
Nice to see a lot of birds bathing in wet shrubs in the garden....it looks like it will stay this temperatures for some more days.
I don't mind, as it is summer, high daytime temperatures, but at night I would like to open bedroom windows for fresh air, not air-con on.

It certainly is much better this morning. I checked the inside and outside temperatures at 6-30am and it was warmer in the house than outside.
So we now have some windows and doors open to let the cooler air come inside

Well, I do that many times when the outdoor temperature is at least 2C lower than indoors, I switch on a powerful industrial fan (300 W) placed in front of an open sliding door. (It is actually a swamp-cooler which I bought years ago from Green Air, in order that my Alsatian can cope better with the heat.)

Within 1/2 hour or so, the room temperatures drop a lot and I close all windows and doors before the outdoor temperature rises above indoors.
Without a fan the hot air won't move too much.
