Paphos airport pick up

Post by MiaBeth »

Hi everyone, I have to pick up some friends tomorrow,I know that I have to use the short stay car park. My question is when I get the ticket from the barrier I have about 10 minutes grace do I have to validate the ticket at the pay station or can I just scan it at the exit barrier ? Thanks.

Ha ha, and I would say scan it, especially if you have to wait a little for your collection. If you have nothing to pay it will tell you.

Which is good for 'drop offs' but not always enough for collections

I scanned mine last week, just to make sure, machine said thank you for validating, no fee, off I went!

Why not wait as others do in the picnic area on the airport road. When you get a phone call to say your family or friends have arrived, then tell them to wait by the Costa coffee shop, drive in pick them up then off you go. No charge simples!

Took some friends to the airport last night, there is now a handwritten notice on the ticket machine saying “ no free “ 1 euro 20 minutes. Dropped off friends, drove to the exit barrier expecting to pay 1 euro, man at the barrier just let me drive through. Can’t tell if I was just lucky or whether a payment scheme will be set in place at some point.

Bedlam last night, when I picked up. Hand written notice on entry barrier of short stay car park saying “no free, 1 Euro charge.” I had waited off airport for a phone call from hubby, got ticket, entered car park, no spaces at all, people parking where there aren’t spaces, blocking route through. Had to double park while hubby took ticket to pay station, no prob with paying a euro, but car park just chocca, very stressful with trying to navigate to exit barrier, cars blocking the way. I don’t know where all these cars have come from! For an “international airport” pretty poor.

I was there for 1 hour and 8 minutes last night, 6 euro charge, not bad when Manchester are now charging £10 for just a drop off.
