Just checking, we have applied for our appointment to change our MEU3 to MUKW3 card. Is the appointment in the same Immigration building as where we went for our MEU3 years back??
Mmmmm.interesting posts on this matter, however nobody has mentioned what is the time for having to be the proud owner of a biometric card.
I was told in my local oasis it was August 23 2026.

Chris &Pam,
Yes you are correct, its the same building. You will be ushered to a room off the Reception/ waiting room. The actual procedure is quite quick. You have your photo taken and your fingerprints.

Your boozer mates are correct for once
Legal advice down the pub tends to be as good as the paper its written on.
If anyone knows of any offical statement or website that says the yellow slips MEU1 or MEU3 issued to UK nationals are going to become obsolete on 23 August 2026 then perphaps they can share a link to the website.
There are new rules for ID cards for EU citizens and their families but these dont appear to cover most UK nationals.
Picked up our Biometric cards this morning.
Applied and paid for them on 13 Dec 23.
Issued on 14 Feb 24
Immigration police said once issued they would notify by post/text or phone call to come and collect.
None of that happened and was passing Famagusta District Police HQ today and called in and there they were waiting for us to collect.
