Thank you for that. I just got an email also stating it is world wide. So looks like we are all down.

Never seen or heard anything like it here in UK Barage of phone calls and texts - Everyone at panic stations because they cannot log into Facebook - What a sad existence - It amazes me that people cannot live without it - It should be switched off forever

Some use it for keeping in touch with friends & family via the messenger app

I am on FB all day because I run a group in the UK with over 18,000 members.

If you don't want to use it then don't, but don't tell those of us who do use it that we are in the wrong

Having it switched off doesn't necessarily mean that users are in the wrong, even if some of them may be misguided!

Luddites will be luddites. I am sure they would be annoyed if their telly service conked out.

Yes there was an outage, but it is ok now.

Each to their own I suppose. It's just a pity that FB is used to try to influence people, by unscrupulous others.

If used properly, it's okay.

You could say the same thing about anything on the internet, or even the phone network.

Taking it one step further Dominic you could say the same about anything these days - difficult to know who or what to believe as there is so much going on!
The information about Covid is one worldwide example of how people were (and in some cases still are) influenced and manipulated.
