What a stupid question for this paper to ask.Same as saying, during the Northern Irish troubles "is it safe to travel to Scotland, the nearest point to N.I."Unnecessary scaremongering tabloid hype

Perhaps it would be an idea to see what the UK govt. actually says (basically, avoid demos):

Tabloids hype everything up to suit their own agenda but the gist of the situation is still the same for the moment as AVO says avoid the Demos which most people would anyway

Just about everything has to be blown up out of all proportion now. I never watch the news, as there is never any good news, it's all doom and gloom.
Life is too short to be made miserable by 'news'. We know that wars happen, they always will, the greed of man will see to that, but if we can't do anything helpful about it, use common sense and live life, enjoy what you have.

I remember flying back to Cyprus in October 1990 Manchester - Larnaca on the 2/4/2 planes no idea what make there were very few of us aboard, the Chief Stewart ask if we’d like to go to the cockpit very interesting flying over the Greek Islands, on arriving on the island you wouldn’t know any difference than usual but from the flight numbers many had cancelled due to the Gulf War
