An environmental history

Post by Devil »

http://bnellis.eu/waste/wwisland.html

A number of years ago, I wrote about 50 websites on myriad subjects regarding the environment. I attach, above, one example about the problems of the environment on small islands. At the foot of it, you can work your way to many other subjects regarding nature and the environment.

I give no guarantee on the viability of all the links but, if you are interested in nature or the environment, please do not hesitate to explore this bit of history and to compare what I wrote with today's realities. I obviously make no apologies for occasions where my ancient scribbling have not been fulfilled – I did not have a crystal ball! :-)

When I wrote the little essay on waste, I didn't believe that anybody would ever read it. In reality, nearly 40 persons did read it yesterday, which slightly surprised me. About 15 years ago, I wrote the base of the website that may tell people where I am coming from in terms of the environment. This was in the form of a kind of list of the issues which disturbed me. I've just dug it out again and have put it on this forum. Technical and economic changes have rendered a couple of pages of this credo obsolete or at least obsolescent, but the great majority of the website is still valid.
