Doctor visit and Safe Pass

Post by Poster12 »

We have previously visited a GP at Blue Cross Hospital in Paphos, and a Safe Pass or negative Rapid Test has always been required to see the GP in the hospital.

Does anyone know of a good GP or family doctor in the central Paphos area that does not require a Safe Pass or negative Rapid Test for every visit?

All hospitals require a safe pass or test.
GP practices don't, but only if you are registered with them and have your records that will show that you have had your jabs when you book an appointment.
To register with a GP you will need to show your safe pass.

I was at Blue Cross on Friday for an appointment with my gastroenterologist. I offered my Safe Pass to the lady on the door, who said it was no longer required. I had previously telephoned to ask whether I needed a rapid test and was told I didn’t need it for an outpatient appointment.

Hi
You do not need a safe pass or rapid test to see a GP at the blue cross. You only need a rapid test if visiting the wards upstairs.
I am currently visiting twice a week for my wifes appointments with Dr Spyrou,we were there Saturday and will be there again tomorrow.

Thanks for the replies. So it seems that patients visiting their GP at Blue Cross do not need a Safe Pass now. Was this change in policy listed anywhere on Government or Health Ministry websites or is it just a policy change introduced by the hospital?

Safe Pass or test not needed at Iasis for GP, as well. Don't know about wards.

On a similar subject does anyone know if a mask needs to be worn in pharmacies now? All the sales staff in the ones I've visited in the last two weeks have not been wearing them. Thanks
