Question please for those people who hold a MUKW1:

Does it state how long you can be absent from Cyprus - in one go and also over a year without it becoming invalid?

I would think that the 90/180 day rule will apply as for all non EU citizens.
I doubt that the card would become invalid but you would be refused back into Cyprus if you overstay in the UK

Not sure what the limits are for holders of MUKW1 forms, but you would be advised to limit your time spent in the UK, if you are planning to go for full residency which takes 5 years. Best check with someone like Gwenny...

No - there is nothing on the MUKW1 plastic card that states how long you can be absent from Cyprus.
