No idea. I was down at the sea front with my drone yesterday and didn't notice anything then. Mind you, I haven't processed the pictures yet, and a fence like that wouldn't be that obvious from above.

I do know they announced more money for renovations and maintenance in the area a while back though. So perhaps this is part of that?

One of the bar owners told me this morning that it was to be pedestrianised, not sure how true that is though. Some years ago when the road was paved as it is now most of the shops along there protested that they would loose trade if there were no cars allowed there.

Much safer when it is pedestrianised. The original mayor wanted it closed off to traffic most of the time. Locals will cruise round and round in the summer showing off their cars. Remember one of the waiters at Ma Bianca telling us one car had been round 30 times. Would also be better for the shops if the sea wall was reinstated. It did stop some of the water in storms and prevented the shops being flooded everytime there is a mild storm.

I have just watched this camera update for the past 10 minutes and no cars have been observed and it updates every minute so there could be something in the pedestrian only story. 8-)
I started off with nothing and have most of it left !

The mayor confirmed it is going to be pedestrianised.
