Limassol villagers say water is being stolen, vineyards affected

The community leader of Doros village in the Limassol district said on Saturday that irrigation water is being stolen from his village and the adjacent one of Lania meaning they have been unable to water their vineyards for the last two months. ...

What I find most shocking about this as that a Police Officer was forced to leave the scene because of threats, yet nothing has since been done.

I was absolutely amazed at that as well Dominic. I could understand if the Police Officer was overwhelmed at the time, but it seems nothing has been done since. I am amazed that the offending 'Switch' has not just been removed.

Sounds like the theft of petroleum products in Mexico or Nigeria, where tapping pipelines is a national hobby.
