Good we wear a mask when shopping at the supermarket, it’s a pity they stopped testing at the airports here because there were usually 30/40 positives most days that hasn’t just gone away.

They need to tell the tourists and enforce the measures.

Yesterday we were in Paps just off the sea front. It was pretty busy but (rough estimate) only about a quarter of the people were wearing face masks. We then went to Lidl on TOK. About half were wearing face masks. In both places no one was checking at the entrances, and no signs were visible. I think this time it might be harder to enforce the rule of wearing face masks particularly with tourists during the summer months.

Reported that the Police carried out 150 checks in Paphos on Friday, dont think they checked Alpha Mega people in there with no masks, I think they should fine the establishments as well as the people who don’t bother might stir the shops to enforce it

I suppose a lot hinges on WHO is responsible for seeing that shoppers wear a face mask.. Is it the shoppers themselves? Or is it the store that they are going in?

According to a friend who works for M&S, stores haven't been liable for non-compliance of shoppers for quite some time.
Re: Face masks mandatory in indoor and closed spaces, Cabinet decides
A friend of mine who has a retail store, had a couple who refused to wear a mask in his shop ( this was in the last period we had to wear masks)
So he went to the local police station to ask where he stood, the police told him, that in the event of police finding them without masks, they along with him would be fined, my friend ask the policeman, do you expect me to force them to wear the mask, the reply was no, but you can refuse to allow them into your store with out masks.

Previously a lot of the shops had a sign up stating "No Mask-No Entry"

'It is reminded that non-compliance with the measures is a violation of the Decree and the fine of EUR 300 is borne by the citizens themselves and not the business/estate'.
