I would love to hear your logic behind going from your first word to the second.

Who said there was any logic in what I did? My first row is my bog standard starter, a word containing the five most commonly used letters in the English language and is invariable. From there I started juggling with the three or four next most commonly used letters, trying a few variations, mostly not getting anywhere. By chance, I hit on a combination that looked promising and then saw an example where the same letter was used twice. That clicked it! Knowing the twisted mind of the composer, it then fell in place, lo and behold!

I do not believe it! I will swear before all that is holy that this is genuine and not a cheat. What are the chances of 2/6, three times in a row? I was almost praying that it would come out at 4/6 or 5/6 but that was not to be.
