Can't stand reality TV in general, though have grown to like Masterchef.

On UK TV, Taskmaster is the best thing by a country mile. We generally prefer American stuff like Law And Order, Black List, Better Call Saul. etc etc.

We like UK drama when it is modern or at least fun, like that cop one where they route out bent police. Peaky Blinders is good too, though the story is running out of steam.

I think that Singaporean did a really good job. I wish he could give some hints to our Indian helper.

Londons Burning - were you in it?

If not, which character would you be?

HIP

Thanks for the recommendation "The Lie: Murder in Suburbia". Watched episode 1 last night and we will watch episode 2 tonight . very good.

So here is a couple of real life docs for you . Not so easy to get but I have just checked and both are on pirate bay.

Murder on a Sunday morning
A married couple were strolling when confronted by an armed robber who shot the wife dead. Soon after Brenton Butler was arrested and identified as the killer by the ladies husband. A public defender Patrick McGuinness takes on the case. Its real life . The doc makers had access to the court proceedings. Its from 2001 and may seem a little dated but it was an oscar winner.

The Staircase ( 2 series) By the same doc makers as above

This is about Michael Peterson a NY Times best selling author whose second wife Kathleen fell down the stairs at home and died. She certainly died

But did she fall? Many twists and turns.

Hip
Murder on a Sunday Morning is on You tube. Just watched a bit. Would not want to be on the end of a cross examination by Patrick McGuinness

I did mean HIC sorry. I'm more inclined to make these silly mistakes these days.

Thanks also Lloyd - this sounds right up my street. 24 hours in Police custody is a fantastic series but there is never enough of them! I also loved Surgeons: At the Edge of Life.

Thanks Gerry G - I’ll also check out your recommendations.
