Car Log Book

Post by CYWALL »

Good morning everyone,
the log book for our car is in both my name and my wife's name, my wife passed away recently.
Could you give me any advice on what I would need to do to either sell, or because of the age scrap the car, as I will be moving back to the UK for good
early next year.
Would I have to go through changing the log book into my name only perhaps.
Any advice at this stage would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks all.

I am sorry for your loss
If I were you I would book an appointment at the citizens centre and see if they will help, if not there is an office in the tax building were you could pay the duty off on the car so that it could be sold, if the citizens centre cant do it they could give you the name of the office, I do know that its at the town end of the tax building.
You will need to take the death certificate either way

If you aren't comfortable with visiting several centres/offices maybe you could ask ANW Motors at Tremithousa
They helped me import my car several years ago and were very competent with all paperwork.
