Trimming Large Trees

Post by Oakland »

Hi Guys

We have a few large Oak Trees I want to trim as they are creating too much shade .

Can I just go ahead and cut off a few branch’s or do I need a permit

Thanks

There are laws in place for the protection of oaks even when on your property, I would first ask at the mukhtars office about this.

I have recently cut some LARGE boughs of our oak trees. Actually the trunks are in the next-door land, but there are no problems with that. We are outside the village though

Thanks Guys

I will check with the Muktar office first , not too keen on a big fine.

If your Oaks are a protected species the Forestry Dept may also be interested.
But you are generally allowed to trim, and cut off some branches, as long as you don't cut the tree down!
