Booster Jabs...
Booster Jabs...
We are soon due for our booster jabs, I was told it was administered at the General, is this still the case? Thanks.
Jim.
Re: Booster Jabs...
It was just over a week ago Jim. I went around 11 am and when I got to the room I was asked if I had an appointment. No I said ."You need the next room", I was told. But there was only one person waiting so I got the booster jab quite quickly.. I had to wait a short 10 minutes to see if there was any reaction.

Re: Booster Jabs...
If you make an appointment and it is "Room B" - they have moved it!! No signs, no directions. Go to where "Room B" used to be and turn left at the end of the corridor. Turn left again and you are there. I had an appointment but assumed that "Room B" was in the same place. It wasn't until I was sat in the chair that they saw I had my appointment print-out (even though I told them I had an appointment). They still gave me the jab. Wasn't worth the hassle of then sending me somewhere else.
If you go to the "walk-in", that is in what used to be "Room B". Take a ticket and wait for your number. My wife went at 08.00, when it opened, and it was a bit chaotic. At 08.30 when she came out it was deserted.

Is this only for GESY members or can non GESY just go to the. General and get them booster jab in the morning
Re: Booster Jabs...
Slightly O/T ...
Here in the UK we both booked our booster jabs on Monday
On Tuesday I had a text *and* email from NHS suggesting that I could book now
On Wednesday Mrs B ditto!!!
Roll on next Sunday although Mrs B has heard that folks that had two AZ's first sometimes have a reaction to the Pfizer booster.
We will see.

Hi
I had my jabs at the General Hospital, and my wife had her’s at the old Electricity Building .
Can we both go to the Hospital for the booster or will she need to go back where she had her first two jabs
Thanks

Re: Booster Jabs...
Go to the walk in clinics at the general
If you never ask the question, the answer will always be....no
Re: Booster Jabs...
Room ‘B’ is where the GP’s clinics are, so go through the main hospital doors and keep to your left, turn right at reception and it’s in an office on the left hand side

Re: Booster Jabs...
I have not been to the General Hospital for my 1st and 2nd vaccination, now I need a booster and have to go to General.
I do know that you had to take the main entrance and then turn right to the vaccination rooms near the end of the corridor.
Can someone please explain where to go now for room B. The above is not clear to me, sorry.

Re: Booster Jabs...
I am not a frequenter of the general hospital. Only been there for my jabs so don't know where the GP's offices are and don't even know whether the entrance I use is the main one!!
If you use the entrance on what I think of as the "front", with a cafe outside, you go in through the right-hand side, past the covid pass-check and then take the corridor to the right side. This leads you to the old "A" and "B" vaccination rooms on the left side. Go past these rooms to the very end of the corridor (T-junction) and turn left, walk along that corridor and take the next left into another corridor. Room "B" is now on the left.
it isn't difficult, even if you don't know the hospital, and you can always ask.
