It is just a shame that even in the UK the match does not start until 8 pm..

Correct! Altogether England deserved to be the winner of the match, however they were very lucky that a dubious penalty award was given from the referee and Kane managed to put his rebound shot into the net. The other English goal was an own goal from the Danes. Another interesting fact was that for 30 seconds a second ball was on the pitch just before the penalty situation....

Strangely although I have seen a number of newspaper pictures (100's) and some video clips, I have Not see the actual winning goal.

We got lucky, as it was never a penalty.

Well, VAR confirmed the referee's decision. Plus that Danish free kick that led to their goal was a bit iffy.

A different referee would give Kane a yellow card for diving (my opinion!)

Don't agree, the Danes did their fair share of theatrics :?

Haven't seen all the UK papers but seems that the "SUN" ran with this information and pics- and it can clearly be seen in the video footage as well

Concerning VAR: not only the penalty was a joke but also the situation that a second ball was on the pitch near the box for about 30 seconds just before the penalty decision happened. As a Danish player I would have just stopped playing when a second ball was in my way...(8:20 on the video)
(but perhaps VAR is not responsible for second balls on the pitch?!!)

Sour grapes max.
England have had more than their fair share of bad referee decisions go against them over the years, now its gone in Englands favour the bitching starts.
The Danish defence were constantly obstructing and fouling our attackers and getting away with it, then it went against them.
