The growth of deliveries really vamped up during the full lockdowns and was encouraged, sadly most food businesses cannot afford to employ and pay the other fixed costs so it was never going to be a surprise...

Maybe better if the authorities looked at policemen, armed forces and government workers who by occupation are not permitted to take other work, but do so very brazenly.......

The thing is if they are illegals then they dont have any insurance, what happens if one of these guys hits your car or worse hits a pedestrian ?

I am not necessarily defending them and agree regarding insurance, but the reason is fully understandable. For example would most customers be happy to have the extra cost past on to them? If the 'situation' of covid is going to be only short lived as stated continuously then why would a business go to the trouble and expense of short term full employment.

It seems the authorities are finding another easy target on less than minimum wage to go after and make it look like they are doing a job.

Much larger high profile and money making places they can look but too close to their doorsteps

My heart bleeds for the likes of McDonald's/ KFC/ Dominos Pizza etc, and with respect if one of these speedy Gonzalez were to God forbid mow down one of your loved ones, you would probably be saying something different.
