Can anyone point me in the right direction to purchase a zip ( a bit heavier than normal ) Thanks.

I would try one of the Zako shops.

1 in Geroskipou
1 in Butcher Boy road
1 in old town behind market.

I think the third Zako listed behind as the market has closed now and relocated near M&S food hall, on the same side but lower down the hill.
