Exchange rate used at tax office

Tax form time, somebody will know ! the exchange rate the Paphos tax office is using for 2016.

Popped in yesterday, rate is posted as 1.23 for 2016.

However, I note the FX rate on the day my pension is paid and that averaged 1.2139 over the 12 months.

I had a look on line , and it showed the exchange as .85 to the pound for September , so about 1.16 , or am I looking in the wrong place ?

I think you will find you have to use the rate set by the Tax office. It doesn't help that different tax offices show different rates.

I always use the Customs and Excise, it is a Government Department so there is no argument . The average for 2016 is 1.2376
