Health authorities re-evaluate covid-19 categorisation of countries

Heath authorities in Cyprus on Wednesday re-evaluated the epidemiological covid-19 state of play of various countries and specified their new categorisation.In doing so, the revised Recommendation of the European Council on the EU???s external borders was taken into consideration, according to a Health Ministry announcement....

Of the category A countries, both New Zealand and Australia have had occasional scares when the few passengers who have been accepted ( usually returning nationals to their own country) or occasional visiting sports teams, have had to be quarantined in hotels as some have tested positive to Covid on their arrival. So both countries have sealed their borders.
Few flights, no residents allowed to leave the country.

Well the UK spent most of its time in Cat 'C', last year, so no real change there. No doubt as the holiday season approaches and the UK's vaccination programme continues, at some point it will get elevated to Cat B.
Since no one living in the UK is allowed to travel abroad at present its really immaterial at present..
