It´s describing the fact that upper and lower teeth aren´t properly aligned so that there are shearing forces occurring which may be putting stress on the joint linking upper and lower jaw. Which is not an uncommon reason for discomfort, pain, migraines etc.
It's more to do with muscle growth. It generally manifests itself when I have being doing an increased exercise regime. It feels like I have been punched very hard in the arm. It is very annoying when it comes on, because I have to move around weirdly as I type to keep one step ahead of the pain.
The worst bit is thought, that if I start up an exercise routine, I can get through the opening few weeks of hell (brought on by a new exercise regime, good old aches and pains) and reach a state where I enjoy the exercise, only to have to stop because the arm pain comes on.
At the moment, for instance, the pain is centred just below my shoulder-blade.
