The Polemi Tulip Festival Is Coming!

This sunday sees the annual tulip festival return to Polemi. Yesterday we took a peek at the fields to see what is in store...

The charity shop in the village will also be doing a coffee and cake morning on Sunday. All proceeds will go towards the funds being raised for a remembrance garden at Archangel Michael Hospice that the Polemi shop is planning.

There have been a fair few cars driving up to see the tulips today. Happy to report that nobody has scaled the fence, and all people have been doing is taking photographs.

Hope the rain dies down before tomorrow though,otherwise it will be a bit of a washout.

They looked pretty robust, but here's a pic, judge for yourself.

You don't get this sort of coverage in the Nationals. Face it, CMail would probably show you a pic of a rose.

I think the Copyright 2016 datestamp is a bit of a giveaway on that front.

Mind you, those shots were taken from inside the fenced area, at a much lower, photo-friendly angle. This is the best angle I can get, before we are officially allowed in.

Mind you, there were a couple of rebel tulips growing outside, and my photograph of them does put them at about the same sort of size as the 2016 shots...
