The difference being is the allegations by Salmond were just that, allegations whereas Blojo has a history, wasnt he sacked by Michael Howard for lying?
Thanks for the Birthday greetings by the way.

Can't mean me, always thought having a Scouse accent disqualified me from being middle class.K-Noble wrote: ↑Sat Jan 02, 2021 11:37 am What has happen - Seems all the middle class on this forum l have become socialists, and down with a government that is thousands of miles away and have no real influence on the middle class lifestyle they have in Cyprus - Maybe huge Russian population on the Island is starting to influence peoples thoughts
It a pity the admin cannot bring up some of the early 2000’s posts when certain posters new to the island had a very middle class outlook on life.
I do not believe that bringing "class" into the forum is advisable. Many of the users here stemmed from those who used their limbs to work, many of them were also pen pushers and many, again, were in management or equivalent (not to mention ex-military). To have such a wide spectrum of input does not necessarily make for a middle-class lifestyle forum.K-Noble wrote: ↑Sat Jan 02, 2021 11:37 am What has happen - Seems all the middle class on this forum l have become socialists, and down with a government that is thousands of miles away and have no real influence on the middle class lifestyle they have in Cyprus - Maybe huge Russian population on the Island is starting to influence peoples thoughts

I think that would be an impossible task for the admin to do that.K-Noble wrote: ↑Sat Jan 02, 2021 11:37 am What has happen - Seems all the middle class on this forum l have become socialists, and down with a government that is thousands of miles away and have no real influence on the middle class lifestyle they have in Cyprus - Maybe huge Russian population on the Island is starting to influence peoples thoughts

Lucky you (and me!) I've never defined myself by class, not really sure where I would fit in. Not that I am bothered either way.Jim B wrote: ↑Sat Jan 02, 2021 12:03 pmCan't mean me, always thought having a Scouse accent disqualified me from being middle class.K-Noble wrote: ↑Sat Jan 02, 2021 11:37 am What has happen - Seems all the middle class on this forum l have become socialists, and down with a government that is thousands of miles away and have no real influence on the middle class lifestyle they have in Cyprus - Maybe huge Russian population on the Island is starting to influence peoples thoughts

Sorry Devil, it was James II, Charles was dead by then. James II was Catholic hence the battle following his deposition by William of Orange and Parliament in 1688.Devil wrote: ↑Fri Jan 01, 2021 2:15 pm Personally, I very much doubt whether Ireland will be reunited, even in the lifetime of my grandchildren who are in their 30s. After all, the problem goes back to the days of the Battle of the Boyne between Charles II and William of Orange. If they cannot settle it in that time, I do not think they will be able to settle it at all. Even if there were a union, there would still be bloodshed between the Catholics and Protestants, most of whom are not Irish at all but of Scottish descent. The latter are more militant.
Oops! Sorry! Errare humanum est, showing that the devil is actually human! I always get tied up with the Stuart kings!Diocletian wrote: ↑Sat Jan 02, 2021 4:13 pmSorry Devil, it was James II, Charles was dead by then. Strange logic, it's like saying that's what most Europeans probably thought about the UK leaving the EU, it's always raining there, so who cares
