Looking for an old fashioned watchmaker
Somewhere about 30 years ago, my wife bought me a ( very old at the time) Hallmarked Hunter pocket watch and chain.
I'd like to have it serviced, and my overwinding of the main spring corrected.
I'm not looking for someone with skills in battery replacement, but someone knowledgeable in the mechanics of watches.
Does anyone know if he/she exists in the Paphos region?
Regards
CL

Yes! Tic Tok in Chloraka. He has a shop on the St. Georges Hill opposite the Ruby family Bar. He is an expert watch and clock maker/repairer.
All things are possible

Also recommend Tick Tock who looks after one of my watches which is over 40 years old and he's an expert on clocks too. As Lincoln says he is on the steep hill up from the coast road (St George's Hotel/Angelika Taverna) past Thessaloniki Taverna and Petros Taverna and opposite Ruby's Family Bar/Oulas Diner. Also has a stall at the Duck Pond, but better to go to his shop.

There's also Gregory's in Paphos Old Town. The father has a shop almost opposite Elean's Opticians, and the son has a shop just up from the main car park. We've used both.

I have an old 70s automatic divers watch, it still works but is running slow about 1 hour over 24hr.
Does anyone know how much the service/repair for this type of watch would cost at the recommended shops.
Many thanks

I go to Gregory’s in the old town too. I have always found him very good. A traditional watch repairer.

I have taken all my clocks and watches to Mr. Stelios who has a shop behind the Market (the road where Deloubak is). He has managed to source spare parts, regulate and fix all my clocks and watches successfully. I highly recommend him.
Re: Looking for an old fashioned watchmaker
Do any of the above Gentlemen do Rolex servicing please?
Thanks

Re: Looking for an old fashioned watchmaker
Just to update the thread which I began......
I took the recommendation for Tik Tok, and have been delighted with the quality of service.
Kemal, has since serviced an old Omega, and a Hunter watch of mine.
Both excellent jobs
Regards
