Does anybody know what being part of that "private medicine network" entails? E. g. do they have harmonised payment schedules? Are there agreements in place to move patients to the hospital best suited to treat them? In other words: what does this mean for patients?

GESY not ready for June 1st launch?
As the numbers of those registering with the national health scheme (Gesy) steadily increase, top officials admitted on Monday they were concerned that the scheme might not be ready for its June 1 launch.
As a result, a transitional period lasting until the end of August was announced on Monday, extending the operation of existing pharmacies in hospitals and outpatient clinics, the president of the state health services organisation (Okypy), Alekos Stamatis said.

LESS than three weeks before the introduction of the first phase of Gesy, Health Minister Constantinos Ioannou has called on the public to show patience and understanding because problems were expected to arise. Speaking to Phileleftheros, he said that “as with every big change that is implemented, a period of time will be needed for the scheme to normalise and operate correctly.”
