Advances in medicine. Otherwise I, and probably most of you, wouldn't be here.

On a less serious note, one of the things invented 4 months after I was born was Mad magazine. Alfred E. Neuman had yet to make an appearance.

David, to delete any post you are not happy with, simply click on the cross highlighted in red in the illustrative image below. This will delete your post entirely. You have to be logged in to do this of course...and you can only delete your most recent post, not earlier ones.

The reason you are getting double quotes is because you are clicking on the quotation marks in an earlier post, prior to adding text. Leave the quotation marks well alone and you won't get a double quote. HTH 8-)

Ah ok. I thought you were trying to emphasise your post or something. No harm done. Anyway, follow HiC's handy instructions and you will be ok in future. If I see them again I will just delete the quoted one and assume you have pressed the wrong button.

I shall also remove the previous duplicates, so don't bother trying to delete them yourself. :)
