Shops prepare for Black Friday rush for bargains

More shops than ever will participate in Black Friday this year after witnessing last year's immense success when businesses made around €14 million just in credit card payments, the retailers' association said on Monday.According to the general secretary of the retailers' association, Marios Antoniou, last year's Black Friday sales exceeded expectations....

Just goes to show how big the mark up is, last year I bought a 20 euro USB battery pack for 10 euro, this year I hope to get a 80euro portable HDD for 40 !

I will not be purchasing anything this Friday until it is rebranded white Friday as I find it offending. :lol: :lol:

Not really. A lot of it is stock clearance. Better to sell at a slight loss than not at all.

I looked at one website I regularly use for online purchases, to see if I could get a Black Friday bargain and the same item I had delivered last week has gone up by €2 a box.
