Hi all. Most of you in Gesy will be aware of the fact that the Maximum co-payment you can make is 150 euros per year.
But what in practice happens when you get to, or approach that amount?
For instance, if you have paid 149 euros and you go to the Pharmacy do you only have to pay 1 euro. And next time do you pay nothing at all.
Who actually trigger something to tell the pharmacist only to take 1 euro.
Has anyone got actual experience of what happens when you reach 150 euros ?
Gesy .. Annual co-payment 150 euros
Re: Gesy .. Annual co-payment 150 euros
It is not an extra Euro that I am concerned about.. I am wanting to know HOW when I have paid
the Maximum co-payment the Gesy Pharmacists / laboratories / consultants etc know to stop charging me

It’s a bit hit & miss, I was approaching the 150 mark, but was charged on a few occasions past 150, think I overpaid by approximately 12 euros
Now I’m well past 150 I pay nothing except if my co payment is more on some Px items

If you never ask the question, the answer will always be....no
Re: Gesy .. Annual co-payment 150 euros
Its all in the system. You should note, however, that you might have to pay something on prescriptions even after passing the €limit depending upon the medication.

In relation to the question, when does the actual Gesy year start?

I have a lot of conditions requiring medical treatment of some sort. I reached €150 last June and then did not pay for anything. I am almost there this year. If you are charged query it.

Thankyou Lucky Lady, so it seems it just 'flags up' when you go to outpatients or to the Pharmacy.Lucky Lady wrote: ↑Sun Jul 25, 2021 11:10 am I have a lot of conditions requiring medical treatment of some sort.
