Sending Parcels off the island

Post by trevnhil »

Hi all. We are wanting to send a Christmas parcel to Bulgaria.. I have had a quote today form on of the main carriers and was astounded..
So, I went online looking for a cheaper alternative..

Has anyone used 'Parcel abc.com' and if you have how do you rate the company

Trevor,
There’s a parcel calculator on the Cyprus Post Office page.

Unfortunately the Post Office calculator seems not to be working, and they want the weight in grams
I will join the queue today just to get and estimate

What the heck is wrong with that? The gram/kilogram is the official weight unit in nearly every country in the world, strangely including the UK and, marginally, the USA. The apothecary's dram went out of being about 200 years ago.

" The apothecary's dram went out of being about 200 years ago. " Oh very droll :-(

Mo matter what number I put in next to gr it doesn't work . I would have thought Kg would have been a better measure from parcels .

However thanks for you Helpful input ..

We used EMS for many years when we were working here, to send docs etc to clients in the UK and the service was second to none. Cheaper than the main well-known couriers and at least as quick. e.g. send this afternoon at the Post Office and received in the UK either tomorrow afternoon or the morning of the day after. Very professional. Never failed, over 10 years.

Worked perfectly for me 30 seconds before I posted last night using 1000g and Bulgaria as destination. €16.50.
