I was given to understand the triggering of article 50 didn't affect our rights or status. Are you suggesting this may be wrong?

Don't ask awkward questions!

Well I for one, do not believe nothing will change Josef, and I'm sure there are many more like me!

I'm not saying that nothing will change. It most certainly will. What I am saying is that the triggering of article 50 doesn't change anything. The results of the negotiations will do that, and they are at least 2 years away.
I suspect the Foreign Office has a performance target to consult and inform us, even when there is nothing to say. But a box ticked is one off the list.

It looks like these FCO updates will be an ongoing affair Josef.... Today, they had very little to say except "we hope" when asked about changes post Brexit.

No real surprise. I would prefer them (and the High Commission) keeping quiet until they have something to tell us. Some hope .

Actually they are as I am one of their facebook followers, and get all manner of stuff popping up from them. I know I could stop following them, but I live in hope they will finally say something of use.
