Yes indeed.

Go to Nicosia, cross over the border at Ledra Street.

There are several on that side that will make you a splendid suit from a wide selection of fabrics. At good prices as well.

Happy in Cyprus wrote: Mon Apr 03, 2017 6:57 pm There are plenty in Paphos too. I know of several in the back streets of Paphos, but sorry Jim, far too difficult to explain where. Plus at present there's the dreadful upheaval from the roadworks :(
Agree with Lloyd. I know two in the back streets but would not be able to direct anyone. I just know where they are when I need them. :D

There is an excellent tailor in Polemi who is highly regarded throughout the Paphos area. If you want to meet him, call at the charity shop and he will come to you there.

Would you have any names or tel nos? That would be really helpful but understand if you don't.
Sorry no. However, they are not too difficult to find. Just have a wander in the small narrow streets. I will try to give you directions to the easiest one to find
From the old bus station. come out turn right. down to a small roundabout. On the right a wood working shp. Pass this and continue down the tailor and a seamstress is on the right.

Ask for 'raftis' - Greek for tailor.

I need one for our daughters graduation; I don't think T shirt, flip flops and shorts would go down very well.

As I said, head for Nicosia.

Go to the bus station. With you back to the bus station head down into the street running parallel. The road works will be on your right.

Almost immediately you will find 2 or 3 tailors there. Head further right down that street therecwill bec2 or 3 more.

There is a good tailor in Paphos town, as HIC says. Like him, I don't know the name or number, but if you exit the old market in the town and head for the mosque, it's down one of the roads on the right sort of opposite the mosque. About 2 or 3 shops down if I remember right, owned by an old Cypriot guy. Sorry I can't be more helpful.
I got my wedding suit there. It was off the peg, but all the necessary alterations were done within 24 hours and, unlike some, the alterations were not visible.

My husband and one of our sons each got a suit made in St Andrews Street, Limassol. The Greek gentleman who made them had just retired from Saville Row in London. My son is 6'6" so he was delighted with made to measure. Unfortunately, working offshore he has been eating like a 'fatty chapati' - consequently it does not fit any more. Stupid boy😤

PS That was about 5 years ago.
