Oh good, now maybe the government will remember that they increased VAT to its current 19% as a temporary measure during the financial problems period ...

Not so much optimism, Lloyd, more a tongue in cheek comment. Anybody with a grain of realism knows that once a government has got used to receiving and spending the revenue generated by "temporary'" taxes, the word "temporary" becomes forgotten.
