Typical Cyprus winter: 7.Dec. Timi beach....
Just to show how beautiful the weather was today lunchtime at the fish tavern Timi Beach...
Also the temperature with 22c was pleasant enough to enjoy fresh fish at the veranda with the view towards the sea and the now closed area near the waterfront.
but there were people which asked to be served over there and they did...
I hope they don't get sunburn
after lunch I had a look if somebody was swimming as well..?
but this was not the case...

I don't want people to get too jealous every time I post photos from the delicious fish I am enjoying...

Max, if you remember we used your forum review to review the restaurant on Google. We also included some of your pictures.
One of them has now been viewed over 9000 times on google! Not bad for a few months.
You might want to show this to them next time you are there. They owe you a discount.

Wow! >9000 views, that explains perhaps why they are recently more busy on a Saturday, like yesterday when there were 18 cars parked. When I asked them why they are so busy these 3 weeks, they said: weather is unusual nice for the time of the year....specially weekends.
I am always there as early as 12AM, to be finished before it is too crowded and never go on a Sunday...and to get the fish caught in the morning..

Max, I was swimming at Timi on Saturday (not in front Filotis, but the main Timi beach), I was snorkelling for over half an hour - it was lovely And there were a few other people swimming too. Then lunch sitting in the sun at the café on Time Beach. I love December days like that.
Re: Typical Cyprus winter: 7.Dec. Timi beach....
I went snorkelling at the municipal baths at the harbour the other week. I couldn't find those new statues they've put there though. Anybody know where they are?

I went looking for them in October. For some reason I thought they'd be somewhere near the Roman Wall, but when I found them they were out in front of the main steps into the sea near Bagna/the showers, a short distance out. A few scattered around. Have to say, they were rather underwhelming - finding them at the end of an hour's snorkel was quite an anti-climax. A couple were already broken, with bits scattered around.
I really enjoyed the snorkel though, made me wonder why I hadn't done it before. The old roman wall, bits of pottery here and there, a couple of old anchors and a propeller, a lot of fish and 2 turtles.
I didn't get a cold

I felt ashamed of getting my cold. First year here I swam all year round in the sea. I am going native....
