Time to check your £20 notes!

Just a thought if people are holding a lot of UK 20 pound notes here in Cyprus.

The new £20 notes will come into circulation on February 20, 2020 and will eventually replace the current £20 notes we use. They will be made from a plastic polymer like the new £5 and £10 denominations, which is said to be more durable, cleaner and secure than paper.

I am sure that there will be a long period to exchange them but some people may not be going back to the UK for a while.

This information came from my 87 year young Mum. Still very switched on and thinking about me.

Thanks for the reminder. I am sure many keep some sterling cash in case an urgent trip to the UK is required.
