I wonder if you requested that any winnings were reinvested in new bonds if that would work. There would be no need of a bank then. However, if you won a million……….
Probably not, just my logic!!

Re: Stain Removal help please
Thank you for your reply Dee. I’m pretty sure it’s food that has spilled down and not wiped clean and it’s seeped into the wood. I have tried warm soapy water but it doesn’t shift it unfortunately. I’m also pretty sure that sunlight is not the problem.
I appreciate you trying to help

Stain Removal help please
Does anyway have any ideas how to get rid of food spills on kitchen cabinets. It’s a neighbour who wants to sell the property and give it a good clean before listing the property. I enclose a couple of photos of how the cabinets look. He doesn’t want to sand down or damage the wood if it can be help...

Re: Smoked Haddock
Thank you Happy in Cyprus especially for the contact number. I will call on Monday to see if they have smoked haddock in stock.
PS I might try your recipe for the lemon drizzle ginger cake. I dread to think how many calories per slice!

Robins
Are robins a rarity in Cyprus? 22 years in Cyprus and only seen one in my garden yesterday and today?

Re: Cyprus ID Card Renewal
Thank you all for your replies - interesting it's not renewable, I didn't realise, I've had mine for years! I guess I'll continue to use it as ID but I also carry my driver's licence and a copy of my MEU3 so can use that as photographic ID if necessary. As it's only available for Cypriots, that expl...

Cyprus ID Card Renewal
My cyprus ID card needs renewing. I’ve tried to download the form from the Civil Registration and Migration Department but it is only in Greek (and, I think, Turkish). Can anyone advise me where I can download an English version of the form so I can complete before Going to the Citizen's Advice for ...

Re: WISE (formally Transferwise)
Wise informed me that the problem with the Bank of Cyprus had been resolved. Not sure I will be using them again as Currency UK offer a no fee transfer at a good exchange rate.

Re: WISE (formally Transferwise)
Hi Thank you to everyone who has responded to my original post. I’ve had a bit of a time of it trying to find out what the problem is as to why WISE are not posting funds to BOC accounts. I’m still none the wiser what the problem is only that they are at loggerheads with each other to our detriment ...

WISE (formally Transferwise)
There appears to be a problem with Wise transferring funds to BOC customers. I had my transfer blocked when I tried to send funds yesterday, getting the message ‘we are unable to transfer funds to this recipient' (namely me). I also tried to transfer funds to a different recipient who also has a BOC...

Re: Max fish pics
When I get funny answers when I post something different (it could be my language or the subject) I easily get a bit upset and sometimes can't be bothered to take my camera with me, do the photos, upload them on here and post it later on. Max Max, there are many of us who love to see your photos, p...

Who will be the next James Bond?
Not a great James Bond fan (and not of Daniel Craig). My favourite was Sean Connery.
Tom Hardy seems to be the favourite. I fancy (in the JB sense) the actor from Bridgerton, Regé-Jean Page . Any thoughts?
