You misunderstood me. The pictures all loaded fine. But only one was visible on screen and I initially thought that it was the only picture.

Re: Cash stolen from Kouklia holiday home

It's how the other 'arf live, innit?

I remember a few years back being behind a Chinese lady in Eden (opp Costas) and being amazed to see her pay for about €20 worth of groceries with a €500 euro note.

Re: Plum Tarte Tatin

By a quirk of fate the only image visible to me when I looked at this recipe was the top one, so I assumed it was the finished product, and I was thinking "Hang on, that just looks like half a plum surrounded by brown sugar".

Re: More rain and thunderstorms expected tonight

Rising water levels in the Kouris reservoir have raised the possibility of it overflowing, which has not occurred since 2003, Cybc said. Just repeating what the article said, I am no expert!! The article is being a tad optimistic. Yes it does raise the chance of it flooding, the chance is still ver...

Clueless Cupid

As 2018 draws to a close and the weather deteriorates (but let's face it, we need the rain) it gives me time to publish some of the blogs that I have been sitting on since the summer. The main one will be our trip to the Ayia Naps Sculpture Park. However, before we pay that a visit, I want to pop in...

Yes I read somewhere they were saying that Kouris Dam is now higher than it was at the same time last year. This is good news. However, it is still less than 10% full.

The Real Costs of Brexit

Just heard from my sister. The NHS will no longer be able to give her the immunology treatment she has been having, as its price is doubling after Brexit. I wonder how many other people up and down the country will be receiving similar news over the next few weeks? I wonder how many of them voted fo...

Christmas Quiz

Anybody fancy a live Christmas Quiz? The idea is this: at 7PM on 27th December I can run a quiz on the forum. If you want to play in it, you tell me in advance on this thread. At 7PM I post a question. You then have a minute to answer by sending me a PM. I then ask the next question. I propose 12 qu...
