Re: Heat Pump v Aircon

I do know that Max says that 50c to 60...

Re: Heat Pump v Aircon
I believe if you have a heat pump installed you will also have to replace the radiators as the heating will be working at a lower temperature.

Re: New Member saying Hi!
Hi martin, I can second the advice from kili01, I would strongly recommend renting for 6 months or longer until you are sure of where you would like to settle for 2 very good reasons, firstly if you rush and buy in the wrong place with 5% estate agents fees, expensive solicitors and stamp duty it co...

Re: Best place to buy a new toilet cistern
is the cistern Brocken or just the innards, I replaced the innards with new ones from Home Market, very easy to do but you should always buy the pan with the cistern.

Re: So easy top up
I find this confusing, I have been on So Easy for about 20 years and last month CYTA contacted me and said from July 2022 all credit no matter the value would only last 30 days and in August they text to say my credit, Euro 22, had expired and if I do not top up within 90 days my phone will be de-ac...

Re: Travel insurance for over 80 year ols
You can check how much you pay with the country before you visit, with Cyprus you pay the first 15 Euro each time you visit but it only covers emergency care.

Re: Deodorize Soil
Have you tried using a cat litter for the cats, that would be easy to empty and deodorize, you could discourage them from using the border with orange peel.

Re: Cost of new A/C units
It's also worth mentioning that the if you set it to 25c that is the temp at the unit, this is probably high on the wall and heat rises so the bed or sofa will be 2 or 3 degree lower. Another point, a lot of people set the temp low at say 17c to cool the room down but this does not speed things up, ...

Cat pepper
Hi,
Does any one know where I can purchase some cat pepper or any other cat deterrent, all the local cats seem to think my garden is a cat toilet.
Many thanks,
Gary.

Re: Sterling cheque
I once banked a UK sterling cheque for £10,000 in Cyprus, it cost me a small fortune, they posted it to the UK and asked the UK bank to transfer it back in euros I got a very bad exchange rate and bank charges from both banks.
I would suggest posting it direct to your UK bank.
