Re: Crime Issues - Meeting with Chief of Police and Mayor

Typical ex-police to say that, for sure I was caught doing a silly low speed on a fast: lol: road while some little Hitler uses his speed gun, if I was cleaver where are they when you really need a policeman, usually never there especially in area like Peyia where we did live, homes got broken into...

Re: Crime Issues - Meeting with Chief of Police and Mayor

Speeding kills Jim so the speed controls are very important indeed as are the drink driving checks.

Re: Armed robbery at Paphos Mall

Sorry mouse you're not only prejudiced...but wrong! A few years ago I was selling to a Cypriot couple, both of whom were in the Police force. I made an observation about the recent increase in crime in Cyprus, particularly relating to burglaries. Both were quite emphatic that criminals were not lim...

Re: Tonight: Total Lunar eclipse...

Nice photos - you were all lucky to have clear skies. I had my camera all set up on my tripod outside but the moon barely pocked it's face from out of the clouds down here in Peyia :-( My daughter also managed to make some very nice photo's here in Peyia, but without her tripod. I'll ask her for one.

You can put a new tile floor on top of the old one. Choose a thin kind of tile.

Re: Where to buy Vine leaves?

The original O kipos tis Edem (the Garden of Eden) is situated on Sotriaki Makridi Ave, commonly known as Russian rd, I suppose that it was nicknamed Russian Veg for ease of pronunciation The original Garden of EDEM is situated at Agapinoros Street - people call it Russian road or Mr. Chicken road.

Re: A good start: Lidl will stop selling single-use plastic items..

Why not simple buy a large shopping bag and take that with you wherever you go. I don't need plastic bags from each and every shop. I have several nice and handy shopping bags in my car. Take one with you into the shop or fill the bag in your car straight from the trolley.

Re: Agia Ekaterini

The Church of Agia Aikaterini, in Kritou Terra, dates back to the 15th century and is quite interesting as a church in terms of its architecture. Source: http://www.cyprushighlights.com/.../agia-aikaterini.../ The church used to have 7 domes, but has now only 4. The murals were damaged by an earthqu...
