Conister Bank Isle of Man
Desperately looking for interest in savings and have been perusing the Conister Bank, IoM site, an off-shore bank. Is anybody using them? Would appreciate comments on them. Appreciate they don't provide the UK's customer account guarantee but it looks very similar. Thanks.

Re: Overhaul of dog ownership laws underway
It's uncontrolled, repeat uncontrolled barking that's the issue for most people. It's so bad in some areas that many private villas and hotel owners have lost repeat summer lettings because of it. Some have health issues through not getting a good night's sleep. I always advise prospective buyers to...

Re: Wills in Cyprus.
The vital issue for us ex-pats is to ensure your will clearly states that probate is done under either English & Welsh/Scots\Irish law or if you prefer local Cypriot law. There is a vast difference. A good lawyer will explain the differences. Ours is under English law.

Your penance is to chant three times a day for a week, "Spurs will win the FA CUP." How cruel is that?

Thank you very much bromerzz that worked a treat, I'll pass it on to others struggling on how to pay. The payment was made via my BoC account using the JCC option and filling in the details. Cheers.

Re: Paying Tax Online
Does anyone know how to crack the Enigma of paying Tax online? Yes, I can go to the Cashier as last resort. Via BOC it asks for "Tax Department Transaction Code" where is this? Been on the Tax Portal all my former payments are there but the 2021 return I completed two days ago isn't? JCC, ...

DeutscheBanks decision to cut 18,000 jobs, mainly in the city of London
Is Deutsche Bank's decision to cut 18,000 jobs, mainly in the city of London, entirely unrelated to Brexit as is being claimed? I am giving a link to a German newspaper so no one can say it is UK linked. https://finanzbusiness.de/nachrichten/banken/article13002929.ece#%3A~%3Atext%3DDer%20Umbau%20der...

Not Renewing Cyprus Driving Licence
Having reached the grand old age of nearly 80 I am giving up driving when my current Cypriot driver's licence expires in March. My question is, do you have to inform the relevant authorities that you are doing so, as a driving licence is an official govt. document? I believe in the UK you can be fin...

Dustbins Peyia
Colin McKeown asked a question in Pegeia Coalition of Independents. Is there a problem with the refuse removers at the moment? I ask as the bins are only getting emptied once a week now and they are overflowing, thought last week was a one off by same this week. Zakka and Achilleas both are not bein...

Any body know why there aren't any foreign newspapers for the second day? Not at the Kiosks or Phillipos large or small supermarkets.
Thanks.
