Contacts for Pool Maintenance
Does anybody have contact details of companies carrying out pool maintenance in the Peyia area. What would be a reasonable price for maintaining a 10 x 5m pool on a complex including chemicals and VAT? Pool equipment is bog standard with no added ionisers etc. Chlorine granules, PH+, PH- would be th...

Re: Brexit negotiation stance - agreed by all 27 member in 15 minutes
What Mr Barnier just said...is this: ‘We’re going to enter a negotiation, you must commit in advance to everything we want from you, without us committing to giving you anything back. When you have given us a full commitment on everything we want, then at some point with the clock ticking beyond th...

Re: Brexit negotiation stance - agreed by all 27 member in 15 minutes
So The Times is carrying an article today which states that our Prime Minister cannot lead the Brexit negotiations and cannot talk to the other EU leaders about Brexit matters. Apparently, she is only 'allowed' to talk to Michel Barnier: So if I read this correct they are saying that TM cannot lead ...

Re: Easyjet 8935 May 1st 2017 nightmare.
But what else could the pilot do? And a delay of 3hrs 45 minutes will mean your son gets compensation. I would have been annoyed if the delay had been 2hrs 45 minutes. Not sure about the compensation thing. However, If I were a passenger on EasyJet and suffering from a similar possible life-threate...

Re: German investors redistribute resources following Brexit
So 'Happy In Cyprus' is actually happy in Cyprus. Who would have thought it from his Brexit postings. As he has no intention of returning to UK you would thought he would rather be expounding the positive side of remaining within the EU rather than the negative side of the UK leaving. Maybe its beca...

Well, I keep being told on this forum that I'm not very bright, but I'd like to demonstrate that I am at least brighter than Varky, so let me have a guess... High Commission? :? Still using sarcasm. It must be in the blood. You are becoming predictable. Let others decide instead of blowing your own...

Posturing has/is taking place on both sides. One side is not better or worse than the other in this. Let's see what happens when negotiations start.

Re: Russia ‘knew in advance’ of Syrian chemical weapons attack
...there are factions within the higher echelons of the military who think they need some sort of military action to justify their existence and to support their request for further military expenditure to replace used weapons. That is what I meant by the 'shoot first ask questions comment' earlier...

Re: Russia ‘knew in advance’ of Syrian chemical weapons attack
But first I would like to sincerely thank you for your service to your country, and rebuff some obnoxious comments about you with regard your work written by somebody else above; I think those of us living in the real world can agree that people in the military obey orders; they don't make decision...

Re: What amount do you think the UK should settle with the EU?
The UK want and will seek an honerable agreement....the EU are behaving like school ground bullies....their tone is aggressive and confrontational, and they are running scared....in regard to any payment...balance the books and provide a agreed payment.....which actually might be in our favour! For...

A bland statement? No I would suggest the British Army have the finest training, is one of the most respected Armed Forces in the World, certainly one of the most professional and "pound for pound" the most effective...but of course I would say that wouldn't I, but having served extensive...

Re: Russia ‘knew in advance’ of Syrian chemical weapons attack
Varky, your statement regarding my "shoot first and ask questions later" philosophy, presumably an assumption based on my military background demonstrates your total lack of understanding of my training and experience and that of the British Army. In that case convince me that I am wrong ...

Really HIC you should be more discerning in your choice of evidence support. And you need to engage brain before mouth. The BBC has not claimed anything; they are merely the reporter (messenger). Read the article again, it says: "Last week, the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weap...

Re: Russia ‘knew in advance’ of Syrian chemical weapons attack
There is no proof of who conducted the gas attack. Any one of about five parties may have done it. It is easy to blame any one of them, as the US blamed Assad, without any definitive proof. There is plenty of 'fake truth' floating around, much speculation and not a milligram of proof. For those who...
