Re: At what elevation to expect snow / frost
Or summon an ambulance either state owned or private, if you subscribe. The private ambulances should be fully equipped and carry paramedics. They will probably be much quicker to arrive. But all ambulances have to get to you from Paphos, so will take much longer. Do you have to have some sort of s...

Re: At what elevation to expect snow / frost
Its not a competition on how quickly people can drive somewhere, my times are based on how long it would take me, not breaking the speed limit and allowing for slow moving traffic like cement wagons that are common on Klimakas hill, and obviously it is a bit slower coming back up the hill again.

Re: Cyprus Winter Fuel Payment
I know many who have come to Cyprus who considered the low taxes as part if their decision, some years ago even VAT was very low but went up eventually after joining the EU.
Like Trevor we will never be able to meet the tax threshold with our pensions even if it was the same level as the UK tax

Re: At what elevation to expect snow / frost
Most people want to be near to amenities like shops and restaurant's and in some cases the beach and sea, if you live in Psathi for instance your nearest kiosks and tavernas are in Polemi maybe 10 minutes drive away, but if you want to go to Lidl or other supermarkets its a good 30 minutes drive. Th...

We live above 600mtrs but have not experienced these conditions in the last 3 winters, we have also lived in Tsada and Koili both of these are above 600mtrs and we have never experienced that kind of weather, it just gets a lot colder. I don't think there is anywhere in the Paphos district that has ...

Re: Cyprus Winter Fuel Payment
That's a shame, thanks to all who live in Cyprus that voted leave  It seems to me that Brits can be very greedy, indeed. While thousands of people are on the streets in Britain, unable to find a place to rest their head, you get a load of Brits, living in luxury on a warm semi-tropical island...

Re: Scottish Election
Labour voters are more likely to turn their vote to SNP, if this happens labour votes drop SNP votes rise, so to make up the shortfall the conservative voters go Labour. It stops the SNP getting in and therefore reduces their attempt for Scottish independence, which conservatives don't want.

Re: Coronavirus: Cabinet introduces Coronapass for access to venues after lockdown ends
I hope that it will all become clearer! Apart from anything we need instructions on how to obtain this 'Coronapass'. Who will issue it? Also what happens to those who are eligible to get this pass, but who don't have a smart phone? Dee Read the article again Dee, the Coronapass is the slip of paper...

Excellent acting and well deserved Bafta and Oscar
I can recommend other films that got Oscars and Baftas , Nomadland, Promising Young Woman and Another Round.
