But does it get worse as we get older, or does it just seem to ............... another year of the same old same old?
Good point ApusApus - as I recall the seventh repeat of "Vicar of Dibley" was still mildly amusing, whereas the twenty-seventh ......

Re: Expat Telly
It seems the problem is with MTN - something to do with an underwater cable. Horrible having no TV at Christmas but there it is!

Expat Telly
Good morning all! Is anyone else experiencing difficulties with this? We couldn't watch anything at all yesterday and it doesn't seem to be much better today. Re: Supermarket slogans
I'm going to attempt to write this in English (although I am Irish so it's a bit touch and go in that department!). I worked in Bishop's Supermarket in central London back in the seventies and they made me wear a huge badge on my right howsyerfather requesting our esteemed customers to "Get Fre...

He hasn't been entirely himself since.

Re: 12 points from Greece and vice versa...
I thought it was a nice effort from the UK for once. They tried all that several years ago with the boy band Blue, didn't they? I don't remember it very well .... which either proves that the desired effect wasn't achieved or that I've lost the final marble. Other countries have always seemed to tak...

Over the years in Cyprus I have always said that the only things I miss are trains, ducks and daffodils. I had completely forgotten about lilac. Thanks for the lovely pictures!

Re: Lovely weather
It's just perfect now, isn't it? Lovely warm days, cooler evenings and you can turn the telly up without feeling that you're wading through jelly in order to do it. Trouble is, summer clothes aren't very forgiving .....
