Overall very happy with the new measures from Monday - more far reaching than I anticipated.

Re: Bar and restaurant owners say patience wearing thin

HIC - Your earlier diatribe beginning 'This nonsense has gone on long enough....' and coming up with 'Let's just keep vaccinating people and everything will be OK' shows a rather simplistic approach to a complex situation.

Re: Paphos Hotels

If anything I think the politicians should have got their act together over the Covid situation so that people are more likely to re-elect them than the meandering path they have taken in the past few months.

Re: Bar and restaurant owners say patience wearing thin

If I were the authorities I wouldn't go into the premises, just do random checks outside for a while as people leave and move on.
Just as they do with the radar traps or checking that people have SMS permission to go out.

Re: Bar and restaurant owners say patience wearing thin

I wish I could have a vaccination. I'm 61 and have Rheumatoid Arthritis and I'm still waiting for my turn. There seems to be such a drive to vaccinate people who don't want it that those of us who do are being left behind. It will be very difficult for my household if it transpires that, because I ...

Re: Vaccination does help cut down transmission

I don't know of any 'antivaxxers' but there are quite a few who cannot have any of the vaccines for medical reasons.

Also some believe being vaccinated means they will not get Covid at all and many didn't realise they would need a booster every few months or so.

Re: Vaccination does help cut down transmission

Thank you Dominic, good to see the information coming together in one place and so having a better overview of the current situation. People have already made up their minds as to whether or not they will get vaccinated so I don't see a big swing in favour of having it done, although the inconvenien...

Re: Two Water bills?

Always had sewerage bills since 2004 based on water consumption in Chloraka and Geroskipou and both complexes have septic tanks. When I queried the fact that each complex has a septic tank I was told payments were being taken to fund the infrastructure of the sewerage system. My current complex is ...

Kili01 - If it is similar to last year or when the traffic police are in town they don't stay in any one location for long, so they are probably out there, just not at the time you may be passing by.

Re: Only 8 categories for SMS/Form B movement permissions

Also not had form checked in the last 9-10 months. Latest Form B has many changes - not just Section 9 that has gone but the wording is different in some of the other sections. Rarely leave the apartment once in every 3 days but it is a bonus being allowed to go for a walk within 500 meters of my ho...

Re: Only 8 categories for SMS/Form B movement permissions

I wish there was an official form along the lines of the information required when sending an SMS text.

In addition to Name, ID Number and Physical Address, all that is required is Date, Time, Reason and Signature.
