Re: The Joy of brexit

I have to say that the Vaccine pre-purchasing by the UK has been the single bright light of the entre Pandemic for us. The ONLY decision I can think of, where the Government got it right. (or appears to have - although failure would be down to the Pharmas)

Oh, you mean caused by a non-EU state trading with the EU? Just like Taiwan, Somali, Belize or Mongolia?

Why not ask Lloyd why he brought BLM into the thread. It was racist as I see it. The usual bullies at it again, Happy Hew Year  Lloyd mentioned the grossly unfair leniency shown to the right-wing terrorists when Black Lives Matter and other groups were treated entirely differently and most new...

Re: Well it's all kicking off in Washington.

Just heard that a police officer has died after the riot, are we going to have a 'police lives matter' protest ? Probably not. Sorry, what relevance has this to the current situation in Washington? A police officer dying will have massive repercussions in this situation. You are insinuating that on...

Shipments from the EU to UK to consumers, have to have VAT charged at source and paid to the UK, so a UK VAT number is needed.

Amazon UK has also stopped shipments to the EU, including Ireland and at this point, Northern Ireland as well.

Chaddy is a fool, to believe that an event like this has been ‘manipulated’ by the BBC or any media. As to his daughter giving him some ‘other’ view, that’s laughable. Word from the White House is that trump is seriously deranged and has been since losing the election and cannot do anything else. He...

170 Businesses in the EU who won’t know export or ship to the UK, because they have to register for UK VAT now and charge it at source, then pay it to the UK - more hassle than it’s worth

I don’t actually see this news in the media Still never mind at least I can look forward to getting my blue passport in 6 years time when the black one only has 6 months to run! https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/news/north-...

Re: Vaccination portal

The problem worldwide, is that despite the Pharmas developing vaccines in record time, the supply-chain for the vials and everything else hasn’t kept up and shortages will mean serious delays. Also, I think that this pandemic will show that preparation in future will mean distributed manufacturing a...

The Digital Media parts of the result of Brexit will affect all broadcasts from outside the EU (UK), for EU residents, and from the EU for UK ones. It will also have effect on the Roaming part of mobile phones, still to be fully decided and each provider may have different terms. So, rather than a E...

Drones over 250g have had to be registered for over a year. Now, any drone with a camera has to be registered.

The registration is the person, then any drones.

This isn’t the end of the deal, but the beginning and I forecast that the outcome will be Scotland leaving the UK.

Re: Ain't that just so...

Firstly, the time to argue about the conditions of a referendum is before it happens, not once you lose. Secondly, Ireland et al only "went off to find a solution" when they lost the initial referendum. It was hardly a matter of consolidating the result. Thirdly, if 50% of the voting population is ...

If Farage gets media attention in the UK again, it shows how compliant the media are to his particularly narrow sect of capitalism. That’s all he has ever really cared about.

May deal preserved much more of their benefits for the UK and would have given us more paper, less paperwork and more cooperation where it mattered.

Re: Ain't that just so...

So basically the only thing you have an issue with is that the words "who voted" were missing. The sentence should have read: "52% of the population who voted, voted to leave in 2016". Ok, so why is that so outlandish? If 30% of the population didn't bother to vote, how can you assume that all of t...
