Was in the Halfway House last week, chicken souvlaki was fantastic, love this place so friendly and good inexpensive food. Going back there tomorrow for lunch.

Re: Drinking on planes
Could always enforce the showing of boarding passes for buying drinks at airport bars, number of drinks could then be limited to say 2 or 3 per pass.

Re: Halloumi
Had grilled halloumi with honey drizzled over it in a taverna, adds a different flavour and was delicious.

Re: Bad smell
Hi,
When we first bought our apartment we had a mystery ammonia smell which took ages to detect, turned out to be one of our ceiling light fittings, changed it and the smell quickly disappeared, worth checking out.

Hi,
Thanks to everyone for there responses, won't be under any pressure to work or self employment was more in case boardom set in as we are under pension age. I'll always have the option of charity or voluntary work. As for brexit I'll keep quiet on that subject

Cost of self employment
Hi, Looking for a bit of advice on the total cost of being a self employed tradesman in Cyprus such as National Insurance and public liability? We will be moving out next year and although financially we won't have to work I would be quite happy to do a few days a week for something to do. We are no...

Medical Insurance Cost
Hi,
As we are planning to move out next year it would be good to get some examples of medical insurance costs, we will be under 60 and happy to have an excess of say €2000.
Thanks,
Allan.

Thanks David,
Sounds like we will be okay unless brexit changes anything, looking forward to moving out permanently.

Hi David,
We are planning to move out next year, similar to your situation will have savings and rental from a UK investment property, was there any indication of amount of savings to qualify for a yellow slip?

My job means I have to travel all over Scotland and couldn't live without my satnav, once we move out to Cyprus will probably use a phone app.
