Re: Blind People
No, unlike you, I don't keep a record chapter and verse! I think that brief mention was made in the paper. But I heard it by word of mouth from someone who helped in one of the rescue dog charity centres. I also had dogs of my own then, so was well up in what was going on in the field of animal wel...

Re: Blind People
I believe that assistance dogs for disabled people were tried in Cyprus, a few years ago, but unfortunately it was mistreated. These dogs are supposed to live in the house, but this poor dog was kept outside, tied to a washing line and generally abused. The charitable concern who was hoping to use ...

Re: Banks
My gripe is the Hellenic bank in Stroumbi is a large bank,it's the only bank in the whole area, the idea was to open an account with them to save our elderly friend having to go miles and queuing for ages in town,I had to go to BOC this morning and was in there for Forty mins and the staff said it w...

I'm sure doctors have enough on their plates at present, with out the extra work involved in trying to contact people, ,,

Re: Tom Jones has still got it.
True story my mate and his wife were at a concert of his in vegas some years ago, I think it was at the MGM, at the MGM they had small tables in front of you for your drinks, in front of the stage halfway through the show, the biggest bra you ever saw, flew over my mates head and landed on their tab...

Re: Shells, corals and more, 3.5 million years BP in Cyprus
Cheers max, I will certainly take a bit more interest the next time im walking along a beach I haven't seen any shells on beaches in Cyprus - maybe too warm a sea now for shellfish? Im sure many many years ago, the kids used to bring us shells, that they found to show us, but my mind might be playi...

Re: Amazon UK
VAT is not the problem, it is very late and maybe lost items ordered from both outlets, in these times relying on the awful postage systems here and the lack of mail flying in maybe best to avoid on line buying for now at least. Dont blame the Cyprus postal service here, for your delays, there's a ...

Re: Amazon UK
Have ordered several items from Amazon DE, but the delivery costs are much higher than Amazon UK. Has anyone ordered from the UK since Brexit, and if so, is import duty charged? Many thanks in advance. Although you are ordering from Amazon Germany, the goods might be coming in from outside the EU, ...
