Re: GESY ... dream or nightmare?
We have never paid only €1 for a prescription. My blood pressure tablets which I used to pay for privately on prescription were 13.52 (plus a pharmacists prescription charge of about 1.00 euro), now via Gesy they are 1.00 euro in total. But 6 months ago if your BP tablets were available at the hosp...

Re: GESY ... dream or nightmare?
Hi Brian.. yes that is what I have put in my last post.. But WHL said he usually paid 100 plus for blood tests..
This is what makes me think he is comparing Gesy with the private sector.

Re: GESY ... dream or nightmare?
WHL you mention blood tests..... " then did blood test cost ten euro, where I normally pay 100 plus "
If you used to pay 100 plus for blood tests, was this at a private Laboratory ???
I thought the Maximum one used to pay at the hospital lab was 10 euros..

I must admit that i thought it was Mandatory for every one to file account starting This Year..
However at least we have two years of online accounts done, so all should be OK for the future

Re: Gesy.. Consultants... General Hospital
Well it looks like another trip for me to the hospital in the morning to try to sort this out. My wife has now looked at her referral letter and as you say Galexinda it IS valid for THREE months and has the dates to and from in the top right hand corner. So now I have to get the appointments clerk t...

Re: Gesy.. Consultants... General Hospital
Perhaps in your wife's case it is A Special Referral from the Personal Doctor which is valid for one activity/examination and 30 days From GESY website: For how many visits is the referral to an OS valid? By a personal doctor – Normal Referral: it is valid for three [3] visits in total and three (3...

Re: Gesy.. Consultants... General Hospital
There seems to be a conflict of information.. And I do realise that are, or seem to be right bout the three months validity... But both the issuing Personal Doctor, and the lady at the Hospital Appointments desk, said the latter was only for one month .... My wife has yet to check the document.. But...

Gesy.. Consultants... General Hospital
Here is another sorry tale of the disorganisation of Gesy at the General Hospital.. Earlier in Summer my wife was recommended by the village doctor to see a consultant at the General Hospital. As I see different consultants there, so she decided to see one that I use ... Off we went to the Appointme...

Re: GESY Prescription
I don't think the word Month is a calendar month.. But it is one month from when the prescription was made out.. My understanding is that you have week from the writing of the prescription to get it at a Pharmacy.. You can then go back to the Pharmacy a month after the prescription was made and get ...

If they are the very very small ones inside we use Aroxol spray from a couple of feet away. If they are in the garden I use a kettle's full of boiling water ..
